Crime Victim Art Show | heARTs for ART
Please join Assault Care Center Extending Shelter and Support (ACCESS) at the Ames Public Library Farwell T. Brown Auditorium on May 5 and 6, 2012 to celebrate art and support the 2nd annual heARTs for ART Crime Victim Art Show. All pieces on display will showcase works made by crime victims as part of their healing processes.
Exhibition hours will be 9:00-5:00 on Saturday, May 5 and 1:00-4:00 on Sunday, May 6. A reception will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday afternoon to acknowledge all of the artists and bring awareness to crime in our community. Art posters and a music CD of local female musicians will be available for purchase to support ACCESS. Admission is free of charge and all are welcome.

The second annual heARTs for ART survivor art show will be taking place in Spring 2012. Local artists are invited to submit art that represents their experience with or healing from crimes such as domestic violence, sexual assault, harassment or bullying.
Artists can contact Marcy at ACCESS with questions or plans to submit art by phone at (515) 292-0500 or by email at court@assaultcarecenter.org. Financial assistance may be available to assist in needed art supplies.
